Hi, I'm Hilary,
I came to set up this website by accident really! I sold my business of 16 years, a vegetarian and vegan cafe which was immense fun but extremely hard work, two years ago.
Since giving up work, until March 2020, I was enjoying life, walking, taking photographs and making jewellery participating on a local course and learning new skills.
Then we had lockdown and of course all my classes finished and I, like all of us, found myself in a very weird place. As soon as we were allowed I coped with the loneliness and isolation of lockdown by going for regular walks.
I live in a built up urban area but am lucky enough to have beautiful fields and woodlands within a couple of miles walk from my front door. One walk I enjoyed regularly took me along Common Lane, an area of farmland which is under threat from being built on for housing, so while it is still farmed and bordered by woodland I will walk there as much as I can.
In the summer I enjoyed the sunshine that we were so lucky to have, and the swallows and wheat fields.
The fields on Common Lane are bordered by lovely wildflowers and in late summer these were displaying their beautiful seedhead architectural shapes.
One day whilst walking I took loads of photographs of the seed heads and wild flowers and that evening I used them to create some designs just for my own pleasure. They turned out well (though I say it myself!) and I decided to get one of the designs made in to a cushion cover which I was really pleased with!
After a really good response on good old facebook I decided to take the plunge and set up this site.
I do hope you like my products I've added coasters and some different designs, botanical and vintage so we'll give it a whirl and see what happens! Happy shopping love Hilary
